European Wrestling Championships: Arman Avagyan loses competition for bronze medal

Arman Avagyan (79 kg), Armenia’s representative at the European Wrestling Championships in Warsaw, competed with Georgian Nika Kentchadze for the bronze medal and was defeated 0-10.

Avagyan started from the 1/8 final during which he won Germany’s Edward Tatarinov 10-0. In the quarter-final, he was defeated by Slovakian wrestler Akhsarbek Gulayev, who scored a pass to the final.

During this championship, the only member of the Armenia wrestling team who scored a medal is Arman Andreasyan (70 kg), who beat Moldovan Mihail Sava 4-3 for the bronze medal.
