Karen Khachanov begins tennis tournament in Monte Carlo with victory

Russia-based Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov began the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo with a victory.

In the first round, the Armenian athlete competed with Serbian Laslo Djere and won 6-4, 6-1 after the game that lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes.

In the 1/16 final, Karen Khachanov’s opponent will be the winner of the match between Italian Stefano Travaglia and Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta.

The prize fund for the tournament in Monte Carlo is EUR 2,400,000.
