Armenian weightlifter Karen Avagyan declared European champion

Karen Avagyan was declared champion after the competition of weightlifters in the 89 kg category at the European Weightlifting Championships in Moscow.

During the biathlon, Armenia’s representative lifted 375 kg and surpassed Georgian Revaz Davitadze (second place) by 1 kg. Andranik Karapetyan scored the bronze medal after lifting 365 kg during the biathlon.
