Armenia boxing team scores 2 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals in Ukraine
23:17 6 April, 2021Gurgen Madoyan and Arman Darchinyan were declared winners of the 15th International Boxing Tournament in the Memory of Nikolai Manger held in Kherson, Ukraine, the press service of the Armenian Boxing Federation reports.
During the final, Gurgen Madoyan (69 kg category) outscored Ukraine’s Yaroslav Shamafannov, and Darchinyan beat Liparit Ustyan, who was representing Ukraine.
Due to an injury, Koryun Soghomonyan (52 kg category) didn’t come out to the ring during the final duel and was left with a silver medal. Artur Ghazaryan (57 kg category) and superheavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan also scored silver medals, and another five Armenian athletes scored the bronze award.
