2022 World Cup qualifiers: Armenia national team scores fantastic victory

The Armenia national football team, which began the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup with two victories for the first time in its history, won the third game as well.

In the third round of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, the team managed by Joaquin Caparros played against the Romanian team and scored a fantastic victory (3-2) at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan. All the goals were scored in the second half of the game.

The first goal of the match was scored by 20-year-old midfielder Eduard Spertsyan, who marked his debut in the national team with a beautiful goal at the 56th minute.

Alexandru Cicaldau scored a double for the Romanian team and stood out at the 62nd and 72nd minutes. Starting from the 78th minute, the Romanian team had ten members on the field, and a red card was shown to forward for Reading George Puscas.

Varazdat Haroyan and Tigran Barseghyan scored goals for the Armenia national football team at the end of the match.

The Armenia national football team scored its third victory in a row and is on top of the standings with 9 points.

During the next qualifying match, the Armenia national football team will play against the team of North Macedonia on September 2. Three days later, the national team led by Joaquinn Caparoos will face off against the Germany national football team, and will host Lichtenstein on September 8.
