Latvians to referee Armenia-Romania clash

Referees representing Latvia will referee the third-round clash between Armenia and Romania in the group stage of the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Andris Treimanis, 36, has been appointed the main referee for the March 31 match and will be assisted by Haralds Gudermanis and Aleksejs Spasjonnikovs, UEFA’s press service reports.

The Armenia-Romania clash will take place at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan and will kick off at 8 p.m. Armenia time.

After the second round in Group J of the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, the Armenia and Germany national teams each have 6 points, Romania and North Macedonia each have 3 points, and Iceland and Lichtenstein have suffered two defeats.
