The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has received an official letter from Roma, which presents the results of the medical examination of the Armenian national squad captain and Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the FFA press service reports.

Accordingly, the 32-year-old footballer was diagnosed with a second-degree injury to some muscles in one of his legs.

According to preliminary data, the captain of the Armenian national team will miss 3 to 4 weeks, and therefore will not be able to help the squad in their upcoming matches.

Mkhitaryan had suffered the aforesaid injury in the first leg of Roma’s Europa League Round of 16 clash against Shakhtar Donetsk on March 11, and he was subbed off in the 35th minute of this match.
