La Liga: Messi contributes to Barca win, repeats Xavi's record

Barcelona hosted Huesca in the last match of the 27th week of the Spanish La Liga and won 4-1.

Argentine star forward Lionel Messi scored two goals for Barca, and, also, he repeated the record of Xavi Hernandez, who had the most number of appearances in the history of Barcelona; Messi, 33, made his 767th appearance for the club.

After this win, Barca have 59 points and, leapfrogging Real Madrid, rose to second place in the current La Liga standings. Leaders Atletico Madrid have 63 points, whereas Huesca are last, with 20 points.
