Armenia to play friendly with Sweden

The Armenian national football squad have agreed with Sweden to play a friendly, Sport24 reported.

The match is expected to be played in mid-June. The venue, however, is not known yet.

Armenia are 99th in the FIFA rankings, whereas Sweden are 20th.

On June 1, Armenia will play a friendly match with 2018 World Cup silver medalists Croatia.

This month, Armenia will start their campaign in Group J of the qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar, where their opponents are Germany, Romania, Iceland, North Macedonia, and Liechtenstein. Armenia will kick off their qualifiers with an away match against Liechtenstein on March 25.
