Meltwater Champions Chess Tour: Armenia’s Aronian shares 2nd, 3rd places

After five rounds of the Magnus Invitational of the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour rapid chess competition, Levon Aronian (Armenia) shares the second and third places, with 3.5 points, with the reigning World Champion, Magnus Carlsen (Norway).

The current leader is Anish Giri (Netherlands), with 4 points.

In the first stage, ten more rounds will be held in the next two days.

Subsequently, the top eight will advance to the quarterfinals.

The prize fund of this chess tournament is 220 thousand US dollars.
