Diego Simeone overtakes Luis Aragones for the most wins ever as head coach of Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has set a club record after a 2-1 away win over Athletic Bilbao in the 18th round of the Spanish league.

It was the Argentine specialist's 309th victory in all competitions at the Madrid club.

Simeone, 50, became the most successful coach at Atletico, surpassing Luis Aragones' record.

Diego Pablo Simeone now has more wins than any other coach in Atlético de Madrid's history
