Renowned Armenian footballer Romik Vardazaryan dies (PHOTOS)

Former member of FC Ararat Yerevan Romik Vardazaryan has died from a heart attack. He was 60 years old.

The renowned footballer’s health sharply worsened on January 19.

Vardazaryan was a highly respected footballer. Throughout his career, he has played for FC Kotayk and FC Ararat. After ending his career, he coached FC Banants (currently FC Urartu) for a few years.

The Requiem Service for Romik Vardazaryan will be held on January 21 at 6 p.m. at “Haverzhutyun” funeral parlor in Yerevan.
