Twenty-time winner of the Grand Slam championships Rafael Nadal has been in the Top 10 of the FedEx Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Rankings for 800 consecutive weeks, ATP’s press service reported. This is a record-setting indicator.

In November, the 34-year-old Spanish tennis player surpassed the indicator of American tennis player Jimmy Connors (789 weeks) in the top tten, and Roger Federer is in third place with this indicator (734 weeks).

In 2020, Rafael Nadal won the French Open and the Acapulco tennis tournament and ended the year in second place. Nadal was in the Top 10 for the first time in April 2005 at the age of 18.

Nadal will participate in the Australian Open set to kick off on February 8.
