Aram Voskanyan to continue coaching FC Atyrau

Kazakhstan’s two-time football vice-champion FC Atyrau have extended their contract with the team’s manager Aram Voskanyan, the football club’s press service reported.

The 45-year-old coach’s contract expired in December 2020.

This past season, FC Atyrau scored a pass to the league of the country’s top football clubs under Voskanyan’s leadership. In the 12 rounds of the championship of the First Division of Kazakhstan which has ended, FC Atyrau won 8 times, was defeated once and tied one match, after which FC Atyrau secured first place sooner after scoring 27 points out of the possible 36.

The team will return from vacation and start training in Turkey.

In the past, Voskanyan has also headed Yerevan’s FC Mika, FC Urartu (former Banants), Alashkert FC and Armenia’s U-19 team.
