Armenian international footballer will not play in Russian club’s next match
13:16 22 September, 2012Armenian national football team and Russian Premier League FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod forward Arthur Sarkisov will not enter the pitch during his club’s Russian League ninth-round game against CSKA Moscow.
The game will be played at Nizhny Novgorod’s Lokomotiv Station, and the official kick-off is at 1:30pm.
To note, Arthur Sarkisov, who is on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow, started his career at FC Reutov, before moving to Lokomotiv-2 Moscow, where he managed to top Lokomotiv-2 scoring charts for two consecutive seasons and thus becoming a key player in the process. His performances at Loko-2 Moscow did not go unnoticed and, on December 9, 2010, Lokomotiv Moscow, Loko-2’s parent club, officially announced his signing. He was loaned out to FC Shinnik Yaroslavl for the 2011/12 season.
Sarkisov made his debut in the Armenian national football team in a friendly match with Lithuania on August 10, 2011.
