FC Pyunik Yerevan have returned from vacation and have held the first training under the leadership of the team’s newly appointed head coach Yeghishe Melikyan. The football club’s administration has presented photos of the first training.

The former member of the Armenia national football team had been coaching FC Alashkert since the summer of 2020 and left the team a few days ago. Melikyan, 41, started pursuing his career in coaching in 2015. He has coached FC Metalurh Donetsk’s U-19 and U-21 teams, Stal’s U-19 and U-21 teams. In 2017, Melikyan coached Stal’s main team, and in 2019 — Lvov.

Melikyan has replaced Artak Oseyan, who resigned in December.
