Airthings Masters: Levon Aronian makes it to semi-final

Armenia’s leading chess player Levon Aronian beat his American opponent Hikaru Nakamura again in the second round of the quarter final of Airthings Masters Champions Chess Tour and made it to the semi-final.

Aronian won during both matches. In the first round, Aronian had scored one victory, and three matches ended with ties.

The other participants of the quarter final have yet to end their matches in the second round.

Airthings Masters is the second stage of the Champions Chess Tour, which will end on January 3. The winner will receive a $60,000-dollar reward and a pass to the Grand Final to be held in September 2021.
