New Barca president to be elected on January 24

The election for the new president of Barcelona will take place on January 24, 2021, according to the club's press service.

Candidates will have the opportunity to campaign from January 15 to 22. Leading candidates for the club's presidency are former president Joan Laporta, and former Barca board member Victor Font.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu had resigned on October 28.

Bartomeu had taken over as Barca president in 2014 after the resignation of then President Sandro Rosell
