Messi sets another record

Argentinean national team and FC Barcelona striker Lionel Messi scored two goals against Getafe CF, in the fourth-round match of the Spanish La Liga’s new season, and thus he set yet another personal record.

Messi netted 61 goals—52 for Barça and 9 for Argentina—in one year, thereby surpassing his last year’s record of 60 goals in 2010, AS reports.    

To note, after defeating Getafe by a score of 4-1 in Round 4, Barcelona heads La Liga’s current standings with 12 points.
