Klitschko to get 85% from fight with Thompson

Promoter of American heavyweight Tony Thompson (36-2.24 KOs) Dan Goossen scheduled a purse bid on Thursday with the agents of IBF/WBA/IBO/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko (57-3.50 KOs) to organize a fight between the American and the Ukrainian boxers.

Klitschko’s team has earlier asked the International Boxing Federation (IBF) the 85% of the split and only 15% for Thompson.

IBF approved it and the fight is scheduled for Mar. 27, Boxingscene reports.

Klitschko defeated Thompson by knockout in the 11th round in 2009.
