Luis Suarez reaches agreement with Atletico Madrid
17:11 21 September, 2020FC Barcelona’s Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has agreed to sign a two-year contract with Atletico Madrid, Mundo Deportivo reports.
FC Barcelona are ready to compensate the 33-year-old footballer’s salary until the end of the season. The footballer’s contract with FC Barcelona will end in June 2021, and he receives EUR 14,000,000 a year. FC Barcelona offer EUR 7,000,000 for unilateral and premature breach of the contract, but Suarez demands the whole amount.
Currently, Atletico Madrid have to sell striker Diego Costa so that it can afford to purchase Luis Suarez and pay his salary.
