Neymar, Kurzawa, Paredes get match bans

The French professional football governing body, the Professional Football League (LFP, has announced on its official website that it has banned the participants in a dispute that took place during the extra time of the Ligue 1 match between PSG and Marseille.

Accordingly, PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa has been banned for 6 games, striker Neymar and midfielder Leandro Paredes—for 2 games each, plus one conditional game each, Marseille defender Jordan Amavi will miss 3 games, and striker Dario Benedetto—one match.

After the aforesaid game, Neymar had stated that Marseille defender Alvaro Gonzalez had provoked him several times and made racist remarks against him. The disciplinary committee of Ligue 1 has opened a case in this regard.
