Japanese Naomi Osaka won the US Open.

In the women's singles final, the 22-year-old athlete defeated Victoria Azarenka from Belarus 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. The clash lasted 1 hour 54 minutes.

Naomi Osaka will rise to third place in the WTA rankings.
