Diego Costa fined EUR 540 thousand

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has been fined EUR 540 thousand, ESPN reported.

The 31-year-old football player was also sentenced to six months in prison, but the ruling will be replaced by a fine.

He has accepted the decision acknowledging tax fraud of over EUR 1 million in personal income tax back in 2014. A debt that was paid in August last year.
