Levon Aronian ties match with Alexander Grishchuk

During the third round of the Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge, top Armenian chess player Levon Aronian tied his match with Russian chess player Alexander Grishchuk with white figures.

Levon Aronian shares the 6th-7th places with Grishchuk with 1.5 points.

The top players are world champion, Norwegian chess player Magnus Carlsen and US chess players Hikaru Nakamura and Wesley So, each with 2.5 points.

During the first two rounds, Aronian beat Iranian chess player Alreza Firuja, but was defeated by Magnus Carlsen.

The prize fund comprises $150,000. Four rounds will be held on May 19. The chess players will participate in 11 rounds in three days, and out of the 12 participants, 8 chess players will make it to the play-offs.
