Magnus Carlsen Invitational kicks off (LIVE)

The online chess tournament Magnus Carlsen Invitational has kicked off.

The Magnus Carlsen Invitational tournament is attended by Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia), Fabiano Caruana (US), Hikaru Nakamura (US), Ding Liren (China), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Anish Giri (Netherlands) and Alireza Firouzja (Iran).

As reported earlier, Armenian chess grandmaster Levon Aronian has refused to participate in the tournament. His wife Arianne Caoili died on March 30.

The prize fund is $ 250 thousand.
