Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said the organization had suffered a loss of several hundred million dollars due to the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the IOC press service reported.

He said there is no need to blame them for the fact that they decided quite late to postpone these Olympic Games as, according to him, one must discuss everything in detail before making such decisions.

According to him, the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics has deprived them of several hundred million dollars, although the true extent of the losses is not yet known.

To note, on March 24, the IOC announced that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games had been postponed for a year due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
