The format of the European Football Championship may be changed, The Daily Mail reported

Sportsmail can reveal that Spain and Italy have expressed doubts about hosting games, given the large COVID-19 death tolls and economic situation.

The Daily Mail noted that the number of the other 10 stadiums selected to host games by UEFA has bookings next summer that may impact their availability.

Euro 2020 was scheduled to be held from June 12 to July 12 in 12 European cities but has been postponed for a year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
