Khabib Nurmagomedov says his fight against Ferguson is under doubt

UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov said his fight against Tony Ferguson is likely not to take place.

“Currently I am in Dagestan and I am training and preparing every day. Although I don't know what am I preparing for. Because after we came to Russia we also learned that the borders are going to be locked. Same like in the States, same like in Europe, Emirates, everywhere. The whole world is in quarantine right now,” he said in a video on Instagram.

Nurmagomedov said UFC said the fight 100% was not happening in the States and 99% that it would happen in Emirates, Abu Dhabi. However, when he went to Emirates he learned that they are going to close borders. The Russian fighter flew back to Russia, but Russia decided to block the borders as well.

“So now I am hearing that they are looking to organize it with or without me. OK, go ahead,” he said.

The fight had to take place on April 18.
