IOC President: Olympic Games will keep the name Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

The Olympic Games that will be held in 2021 will keep the name Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said.

The athletes who have already qualified to the Olympic Games will preserve the qualification, as there is no need to resumed qualification process from scratch.

Earlier Thomas Bach did not rule out that the Olympic Games might be held in spring 2021.

According to IOC statement, the Olympic Games will be held in Japan from July 24 to August 9.
