Tokyo Olympic Games postponed until 2021
16:38 24 March, 2020President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Back accepted Japan’s proposal to postpone the Tokyo Olympic Games by a year.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe spoke to the press and explained that the two have agreed that the Tokyo Olympic Games would not be cancelled, and the games will be held by the summer of 2021 from July 24 to August 9.
IOC has not made an official statement yet.
Earlier Australia and Canada said they would skip the Olympics unless IOC decides to postpone them.
