Switzerland National Olympic Committee calls on postponing 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo
23:45 23 March, 2020The National Olympic Committee of Switzerland has also called on the International Olympic Committee and the Japanese government to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, taking into consideration the coronavirus pandemic, as reported on the organization’s official website.
The National Olympic Committees of Canada, Australia and Norway have announced that they will boycott the Games, if they aren’t postponed.
The leaders of the National Olympic Committees of the UK, Ireland, Brazil, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia have also urged to postpone the Olympics.
The 2020 Summer Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9.
