Spaniard Joaquin Caparros, the newly appointed manager of the Armenian national football team, made a post on Twitter.

“I would like to thank the FFA [Football Federation of Armenia] for the trust; this is a new challenge for me,” the 64-year-old specialist wrote. "My team and I will do our best for this exciting project."

Caparros and the FFA have signed a contract which is expected to run until November 30,2021, until the end of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

This month the Armenian national under his helm will play two away friendly matches—with Uzbekistan (March 26) and Kazakhstan (March 30).
