UEFA makes new decision regarding spread of coronavirus
15:50 7 March, 2020The UEFA leadership has decided to temporarily deprive Italian referees of the right to officiate in the Champions League and Europa League matches, Tuttomercato reports.
With such a decision, UEFA wants to prevent the spread of coronavirus among the footballers of the clubs that compete in these two tournaments.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin had announced that the Champions League and Europa League matches will not be postponed, but the games involving Italian teams will be held without spectators.
Most sporting events in Italy and France have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in these countries.
