Novak Djokovic world No 1 after winning Australian Open

Novak Djokovic surpassed Rafael Nadal as world No 1 after winning the Australian Open on Sunday.

The Serbian tennis player beat Dominic Thiem to win 6-4 4-6 2-6 6-3 6-4 on Rod Laver Arena.

It is Djokovic's 276th week as world No 1 and now he can overtake Roger Federer (310) and Pete Sampras (286) this season for most weeks at number one.
