Dusan Lajovic gave Serbia a 1-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, while Serbia’s number one Novak Djokovic beat Canada's Denis Shapovalov 4-6, 6-1, 7-6(4).
Serbia will face Russia in the semifinals of the first ever ATP Cup with prize money of 13.5 million euros.
Australia beat UK 2-1 to advance to the semifinals where it will face the winner of Spain vs. Belgium pair.
