A tennis player was forced to leave the ITF Hong Kong Tournament after a ball hit her eyes in the second set.

Harmony Tan, 22, was preparing to serve when she was hit. The umpire thought it was an accident, but the player insisted it was not.

“Tennis is sometimes cruel. On my first round at ITF Hong Kong tournament I was picking up a ball to serve and I got a ball from my opponent which she threw in my right eye. The umpire said it was an "accident". I don't believe it. Unfortunately I had to retired during the match because I couldn't open my right eye anymore... unbelievable,” she wrote on Instagram.
