Magnus Carlsen won the World Rapid Championship in Moscow. The Norwegian grandmaster scored 11.5 points out of 15 possible.

Leader of Armenian chess Levon Aronian ranked fifth with five points.

Other representatives of Armenia Hrant Melkumyan ranked 18th with 18.5 points. Gabriel Sargissian (8.5) - 54th, Zaven Andriasyan (8) - 71st, Manuel Petrosyan (8 points) - 75th, Arman Pashikian (7.5) - 108th,Tigran Petrosian (6.5) - 161st.
