Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon repeated the record of former Milan player Paolo Maldini in the number of matches in the Serie A - 647 appearances.

Buffon, 41, clashed against Sampdoria. Juventus won 2-1.

Buffon debuted in the Serie A on November 19, 1995 as part of Parma.
