Armenian football team fan returns to Yerevan after acquittal in Finland (LIVE)

Fan of the Armenian national football team Yervand Ismailyan has returned to Armenia after spending time in prison in the Finnish city of Turku.

As reported earlier, Yervand Ismailyan was acquitted during the trial held in Turku.

The fan of the Armenian national football team was arrested during the Finland-Armenia match of the 8th round of Group J in the Euro-2020 qualifying stage held in the Finnish city of Turku on October 15 after trying to settle a dispute between the fans of the Finnish and Armenian football teams and accidentally hurting one of the fans of the Finnish team at the local Veritas Stadium. After the match, the Finnish team’s fan had submitted to the police a complaint against the Armenian football fan.
