Guardiola's assistant is leading candidate to head Arsenal

Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta is the leading candidate for Arsenal head coach, The Telegraph reported.

Spanish coach will meet with Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, the newspaper said.

Acting manager Freddie Ljungberg headed the club after dismissal of Unai Emery.

The reports suggest that ex-Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac is also one the candidates to succeed Umery.
