Armenia manager: If they decide I am to blame, I will resign tomorrow

Armenia head coach Abraham Khashmanyan said he is ready to resign tomorrow if the federation thinks it’s his fault.

Speaking during a media conference after a 1-9 defeat to Italy in EURO 2020 qualifying match, Khashmanyan said this "complete fiasco" unfortunately reflected the situation in Armenian football right now.

“When taking the job I imagined that this could happen. I can say that I take the responsibility. May be it’s wrong to say that a national team was playing, we presented just a team, as our talents are absent because of injuries. If the Federation decides that I am to blame for everything, I am ready to stop it tomorrow,” he said.

The manager added that if the federation decides that he would continue working, he would change everything because he believes nothing is working as it should.

“There is not much to say after defeats like that. I just tell the truth,” he added.

Armenia ended the fifth in Group J leaving behind Lichtenstein only.
