Messi sets Champions League record

Barcelona were hosted by Slavia Praha in the third round of the UEFA Champions League group stage matches.

Barça’s Lionel Messi scored a goal already in the third minute of the match.

Thus, the Argentine striker has scored a goal in 15 Champions League seasons in a row. Only Messi has managed this feat in the history of the Champions League.

Messi has also repeated the records of former Real Madrid strikers Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring goals in the Champions League against 33 different teams.
