2019 Wrestling World Championships: Karapet Chalyan reaches semifinals, will head to Olympic Games (PHOTOS)

The Armenian representative Karapet Chalyan reached the semifinals of the Greco-Roman wrestling world championships held in Nur Sultan and will head to the Olympic Games.

Earlier, Karapet Chalyan reached the quarterfinal of the Greco-Roman wrestling of World Cup 2019 hosted by Nur Sultan.

Chalyan (77 kg) defeated Venezuelan Rivas Espinoza 9-0 in the 1/8 final.

Karapet Chalyan in the 1/16 finals was stronger than the Japanese representative (4-2).
