Armenia's Levon Aronian beat Spain's Farham Mahsudlu and advanced to the 1/16 finals of the Khanty-Mansiysk FIDE World Cup chess tournament.

Sergey Movsisyan ended his game in a draw with Ding Liren to play a tie-break on Sunday.
