Rafael Nadal wins 19th Grand Slam

In the final of the US Open tennis championship, the Spanish tennis player beat Russian representative Daniil Medvedev, pulling out a 7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4 victory.

Russian tennis players for the last time reached the final of the Grand Slam tournaments in 2005, when Marat Safin defeated Roger Federer in the finals of the Australian Open.
