Head coach of Armenia’s champion, Yerevan’s FC Ararat-Armenia Vardan Minasyan answered journalists’ questions after beating Luxembourg’s champion and cup winner Dudelange 2-1 in the first match of the final qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

“It was a tough game. I’m content with the temperament of the team members at the end of the match.

Unlike Saburtalo, Dudelange is at a higher level in terms of teamwork. They left a good impression, and it’s amazing since we thought they would show more force, but they were trying to keep the ball on their side. We were as good as the opponent and managed to add pressure at the end of the match.

Kobyalko is a dependant footballer, Petros Avetisyan didn’t play well. This is why Kobyalko’s efficiency was low. However, Ogana managed to get into the game and heated things up. I trust Kojo unconditionally. I hope more members of my team receive offers from their respective national football teams.

I haven’t had the same feelings that I had while I was coaching the national team. That’s at a totally different level, and I don’t think I’ll have the same emotions as the head coach of a football club,” Vardan Minasyan stated.

The return match in Luxembourg will take place on August 29 and will kick off at 10 p.m. Yerevan time.
