Emery: Alex Iwobi made a big contribution here Arsenal

Arsenal chief coach Unai Emery commented on the move of 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi to Everton.

“Alex has made a big contribution here at Arsenal. He worked hard in the academy where he was an example to many young players and has been an important part of our squad. We wish Alex every success in the future,” Emery said.

Alex Iwobi has been with Arsenal since joining the academy 15 years ago, the Gunners’ official website said.

According to some reports, the transfer fee for the midfielder was 40 million pounds.
