Messi to sign 10th contract with Barça

Barcelona star Lionel Messi will sign a new deal with the Catalan club, ESPN reported. It will run until 2023.

After signing his first professional contract with Barça in 2004, this will be the 32-year-old Argentine international’s tenth deal with the club.

His current contract is expected to run until 2021, but if both parties agree, it also envisages a one-year extension.

Barça president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s objective is to offer a lifetime contract to Messi.
