American billionaire purchases Fiorentina

American billionaire Rocco Commisso haspurchased the Italian Fiorentina for 170,000,000 EUR from the Dela Vale family, which was the owner of the football club for 17 years, reports fiorentina.it.

Commisso, 69, was born in Italy and moved to the US at the age of 12. In 1995, he founded Mediacom. He is the owner of New York Cosmos, which is estimated to cost $4.9 billion.

Last year, Commisso wanted to purchase Milan, but the parties didn’t reach an agreement.
